Ah crud. I can't believe I missed that one. Hopefully they will continue, as they are still looking for mass market adoption, and this news from Warner hasn't started affecting purchases on a large scale yet.

Didn't you hear? All future BOGO's for Blu-ray have been cancelled and all player prices are set to rise 300%. I'm sure I read this on AVS or HDD.

Actually, I also heard on those forums that ALL previous Blu-ray BOGO purchases will be tracked down and the transactions will be re-calculated. They are going to charge us all for the discs that we got for free... or so they say.

You are right now is the time for the campaign of mass adoption.

Stumbled onto this site by accident and luckily at the same time a swell individual posted BOGO on the news. Spent ~$200 for ~$400 worth of BD .

As with OP i too would like to know. I don't know if i can hold off on buying more BD with all the great titles coming out.

They WERE coming pretty steadily. Between various online stores (Amazon, Fry's, FYE, etc) and Brick & Mortar stores (Circuit City, Best Buy, etc) it seemed like there was a new one every week. Whether they continue or stop all together remains to be seen. I would suggest keeping an eye on the "hot deals" section of the forum.

P.S. There's a few coupons and such floating around out there that are worth checking out. Like the 20 dollars off when you buy 3 movies at BB. I've used that one a couple of times myself.

Prices will keep falling. The more demand there is, the more aggressive the pricing will get. Soon it won't be about retailers enticing people to buy hi-def DVD, but rather, WHERE will you buy your hi-def DVD's? Expect to see $14.99 Week 1 releases @ CC and BB in no time flat, just like S-DVD.
