Default Michael Douglas Supports XStreamHD

At some point, could this along with other internet or cable/dish services really be the true next format of choice when it comes to home entertainment?

I checked out the XstremeHD website, and watched all the FUD videos. Where they talked about how it works, they said When you want to watch a movie, you choose it before it is released.

"Before it is released" ???????

How the BLEEP long do these downloads take?!

this is 5-10 years away. 5 years to major markets (like the big box stores, etc.) and 10 years for it to take off....if it does. Blu and HD took 2 years and look where it is? Truthfully blu isn't that popular yet in the grand scheme.

Regardless of when it actually begins to unravel out, do you think downloading has a significant chance of beating out physical media?

Needless to say, MP3s have been taking CDs down further and further in sales and could very well end up replacing them 100% entirely for better or worse.

I will give it a 0% chance, no one wants to pay almost the same get nothing that you can hold in your hands, not to mention it taking about a week to d/l a single movie. Nothing but a pipe dream from upper executives trying to figure out how to make more profits, by eliminating things like packaging, shipping and media materials.

i give it a shot, but minimal. Music and TV is compltely different. TV's are getting bigger, music players are getting smaller. Tv's are going home theatre and enjoy the tangible disk... music is moble and want portable. While tv and movie viewing on a phone is getting more popular, it is only doing so because of convienence. People want high quality for their home and a disk wont make a difference.
