Default Rich Man Poor Man (1976)

Rich Man Poor Man was a mega-hit epic mini-series shot like a feature on 35mm film that started a number of careers.

A & E's DVD went out of print 20 years ago. Used copies sell for over a $200 on the rare occasions when one turns up.

The mini-series needs a 2K scan and a blu-ray. What's holding it up?

And how many people would buy it, if released on DVD?

I wish the moderators would notify a poster when moving his thread, leaving him to guess
what happened to it or sending him on a hunt to find it.

I remember Book II ran like a series the following year. I haven't seen them since they aired, and would love to see them again in HD.

Released in high definition in France. In France of all places. But not in the USA or UK.

Why is this??? What is the problem? Is it for political reasons? Is it not PC enough, perhaps too old fashioned and traditional in values, too stereotype? No, that couldn't possibly be so. Or could it?

One of the best drama series ever. And still not released. It doesn't make sense.
