How Long Have You Been Collecting Physical Media?

When did you start? How old were you? Which format was it?

I remember having a few VHS tapes a little kid, but I didn’t start collecting until the DVD era. I began collecting in earnest in the early 2000s, probably a few years before I would have been starting high school.

I remember posting on a message board...was it called FilmTalk? I think it was connected to DVD Aficionado somehow. That’s where I learned about The Criterion Collection and became addicted to cult horror movies. It’s been an obsessive love affair ever since.
