I wonder if this will be 1080p? I'm pretty sure Season 5 is Matt Smith's only season not available in 1080p outside the box sets.

Also, do we know if it's region free?

Highly doubt it will be, 1080i makes most sense for this release.

I'm not too sure I know series 5 standard blu ray has 6 discs so I'm thinking it might be like series 10 where there was 3 on either side.

THIS. The steel looks nice but her artwork and the artist that did series 1's steel should've been commissioned for ALL the DW steelbooks. Alice's artwork is all over RTD and Moffat's series and she's done so much DW artwork anyways, it makes sense to have some consistency but every release has gone further away from consistency.

They should have kept Lee binding on who did series 1 & 2 steelbooks. However he has publicly spoken out how he wasn't asked to pitch for series 3 which is a shame as his design looked amazing for series 3 it's on his Twitter page. He does the classic boxsets too. I do have to give credit to the artist here it's a nice design and I love how they've hit all the big notes for it. The Vincent inspired art on the front behind Amy and The Doctor. It also to me at least seems to fit the tone the specials and series 4 went for more so the specials with having River and Rory on the back artwork with young Amelia

Bit odd how all listings have this as a 4 disc set. Sounds like they might be using the newer US discs for this... which means 24fps instead of 25.

That is beautiful Series 5 is my favorite of Doctor Who. But id rather wait for a complete Matt Smith Run like the recently released Tennant collection.

The complete Matt Smith blu-ray came out years ago. It's awesome, if you can find it reasonably priced then do it, the packaging is great.

Thanks! Something I didn't want but now need cause it looks amazing. Despite it being a photoshop of publicity stills.

Also, I realized I have so many Doctor Who blu-rays preordered through Amazon that it was cheaper for me to combine them all in a new order to save on shipping to the U.S.

Oh I'll have to add series 12 to my pre orders. 2020 is shaping up to be pretty epic so far for doctor who blu rays and steelbooks
