I've watched the first 2 episodes so far. It's solid but so far hasn't captured my attention the way the first season did from the start. So far it's basically repeating the same formula from season one but switches the locale to Los Angeles.
The "shocking" twist from the season 1 finale gets dealt with in fairly anti-climatic fashion. Thumbs down for that. |

The ex-girlfriend showing up in the bookstore at the finale. (this is a very minor spoiler as it was only a subplot tied to the backstory of the protagonist in season 1)
The way it's dealt with at the start of season 2 is anti-climatic but I'm on episode 5 now and that subplot comes back with a pretty cool twist. The first couple of episodes are pretty good but lack a certain punch since more or less the show hits the reset button and we go through a variant of the original story. End of episode 4/Episode 5 starts to feel like they are going to branch off somewhere new...and I'm starting to get hooked again. Certainly better than The Witcher (awful) and Lost in Space (solid but too commercial/family minded to risk being great) |

[Show spoiler] However, Penn Badgley does such a great job as Joe in general....he's like Patrick Bateman lite i think. |

Penn is fantastic though. Easily the brightest spot of the show. |

Finished the second season. I'd give it a 6/10 and say that it's a step down from the first season. There are some inspired moments in the plotting and some wonderful gallows humor but there's too much plot recycling from the first season. It also feels like they toned down some of the genre/thriller elements and cranked up the soap operatics...which goes against my personal tastes.
Not sure I'm all that interested in a third season. |

I like this show because it kinda replace all the soap operas around the world and its refreshing.
It doesnt bother me that 80% of this stuff couldnt happen in the real world, i guess ![]() |

Watched both seasons over the past few weeks... wild show. Totally ridiculous, but always entertaining.
Penn Badgley is definitely great... and Victoria Pedretti in season 2 was a huge improvement from the actress that played Beck. |

I really enjoyed the first season. But I LOVED the second. So much fun. So many twists and turns. Definitely reminding me of Dexter but that's fine.
I'm probably going to sound like a nutjob but the end of Season 2 kind of pissed me off. [Show spoiler]
