Good news is that it is Sony.
Bad news is that for the good of mankind, anything with Rosey Odonnell is banned from high definition.

I would be waiting for the store to open so I could buy it on release day with Thelma and Luise.

(And,.. any Geena Davis film actually including the worst of them Transylvania 6-5000. Those would all be double dips too since I have the DVDs some of which I already re-purchased.)

No accounting for taste I guess.

I owned that, and A League, in laserdisc and also currently own each in SD, so I might be tempted to buy them again when they come to Blu. Some of us like those kinds of movies with strong characterizations of women.

I've always enjoy a League of their Own, thought it was a good flick, and tom hanks gives a hilarious performance. I'd pick this up, the Rosie factor doesn't bother me because her role isn't that huge lol.

What's with all the hate? This is a great movie. I hope it gets a Blu-ray release soon.

Haters have nothing better to do. This is a great film and one of the 45 or so dvds that I'm praying will be upgraded to bd ASAP.

And for all the stupid Rosie jokes, she's also in Beautiful Girls. And while ALOTO may not be for all people, Beautiful Girls is an exceptional film that also deserves a blu-ray release. And, like the entire cast, Rosie was terrific in BG.

Along with Tootsie, this should have gotten a release a long time ago.

Maybe next year!

I have nothing but a lot of love for this film! Hope it makes it to Blu-Ray soon!

One of my favorite Tom Hanks roles as Jimmy Dugan.
