Default Is anyone else bored now?

I don’t know about anybody else but I am really bored with this Blu vs HD. The anticipation of the Warner defection was just so intense that everything we are hearing now is just so ho-hum.

1) Doesn’t look like Universal or Paramount are going to make a move anytime soon
2) No BIG announcements for BLU or HD titles made (i.e Indy Jones, Star Wars, LOTR)
3) No 2.0 player release date and price info

I guess it’s just the we have already received the big spoils.

Is this the calm before a big storm, or something we can expect for the next 6-8 months?

I know what you mean, I wish we could get the next big development to be excited about, but I guess patience will be required.

*sigh*

I am kind of bored...but it seems to be a kind of calm before the storm...

I need the break financially, lol.

But there are still a few releases that excite me in the next two months...especially Life of Brian next week, so I'm happy.

The format war is a waste of time, but its over. I am bored with the choice of new title coming out, thats my biggest concern

It is getting a little boring as I keep expecting big news. I guess the Warner news-type spoiled me a little

Agreed. I am probably more irritated about this format "war" now than before. Maybe thats it

The titles coming out are pretty good but they are just not something that I am waiting on pins and needles to see on BLU. Perhaps Batman Begins, Matrix and V (dates ???) are all movies I am anxious for...but LOTR, SW, Ind. Jones, Alien(s), are all in my mind a step above the norm.

More title announcements would be nice.

Lord of the Rings announcement would rock. Even if it was just the theatrical versions. Those movies are made for quintuple dipping.

That's what I'm really bored by, the lack of decent titles for the next few months. I'd also like to see the Asian market ramp up its English-friendly releases. I count two movies a month through April that I'd buy.

Nope! UPS just dropped off Nacho Libre, The Searchers, Saw IV, and The Gameplan. I have popcorn and beer. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy my Blu experience and wait for the Reds to join the party.

Nope. I enjoy seeing all the "new to blu" posts from people that finally were able to make a decision on hi def media.

1) Can I quote that back to you later?

2) Indi will come later this year - all four movies exclusive to Blu-ray

3) Check out the Panasonic BD50 (the first of many 2.0 players) Price: MSRP $599 ETA: Early Q3.

Paramount and Universal are already supporting Blu-ray. They just haven't worked out how to tell us yet. They will soon. A few more weeks of 80%+ HDM market share for Blu-ray in the Nielsen weekly reports and they'll be begging to join the Blu-ray camp (I'm assuming they want to make some actual money out of HDM).

The Blu-ray adventure is just beginning!
