Excited to see how far this line goes. Only thing that conflicts me is that NECA will probably milk these by making a colored version later. I like how the B&W looks so I'll probably stick to those.

Apparently they have teased Mummy and Wolf Man... so far so good.

My worry is Dracula. I seem to recall a long while back another company tried to put out the Universals and they could not get the image rights for Lugosi and they ended up having to release a generic Drac.

The MEGO figure from a couple of years ago was able to secure the right to Lugosi's likeness. Though that doesn't necessarily mean NECA will be able to do the same (Chief Brody), but hopefully.

Just cancelled my pre-order for the black and white version, the color version ended up looking more natural than I thought. Probably will be able to get my hands on the colored version quicker too.

Color version looks nice too. So hard to decide which to start with in this line, color or B&W, without seeing how the others will look. Looking forward though, I would want a color Creature for sure. Either way I am really excited for this line especially Dracula and the Bride figures.

Which would be next month, and considering the b&w version isn't even on NECA's calendar yet (and that most of the places I pre-order from still don't get NECA figures until about four weeks *after* NECA says they shipped) - yeah, I'll probably find the colored version quicker.

I think the main reason I decided on the colored editions is just so they'd fit in better with my other Horror Ultimates. Something about displaying Frankenstein's monster with Jason Voorhees just gets me.

I just found the color version in a Walmart tonight. Hope to snap some pics tomorrow

I was initially going to wait for the b/w version and then decide which to keep. But after watching an unboxing/review the other day I think I will definitely grab this colored one as well. Looked awesome, great sculpt.

I'm gonna have to give 5 stars all around for this one. It's heavy with stiff bulky limbs, which feels right. The colors are not cartoony, the skin is a greyish green that looks natural. The heads are beautifully sculpted and there's just enough to do with the accessories. The only issue I had is getting him to stand, his large feet are hard to adjust. Even with a NECA branded stand, he stands a bit top heavy and is hard to pose with his legs.

Really looking forward to the rest of this line.

He looks so good. I wish I could find one. I've been checking brickseek, and nothing pops up around me at all.

Out of the three Walmarts I checked in the past 24 hours, only one store had any. But they had a whole display box of them, about six figures total. They were in the collectibles section which was larger than the other two stores' selection.

If it means anything, I just checked it on Brickseek and it actually says 0 in stock at the store I found it in. I dare say Brickseek may not be accurate for this one, so it might be worth going out and checking yourself.

Probably best to check for SuperCenters if you have one. I notice that my other stores never get any of those cardboard displays, but the Super Center almost always does.

Something about the sculpt looks off. It's hard to sculpt hair, but I don't think that's it. Maybe it's just the way the arms are designed. It takes away from some of the bagginess of his shirt, messing with the proportions. The arms could be a little thicker.
