Default Scariest 'Are You Afraid of the Dark' episode?

What's the scariest episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Are You Afraid of the Dark episodes

For me, The Tale of the Dead Man's Float always and forever. The pool zombie still gives me the heebie jeebies to this day. Nightmare fuel.

The scariest episode for me is, undoubtly, "The Bookish Babysitter". I haven't watched this show for about twenty years and don't remember much about it, but I'll never ever forget that scene with the "black ghost" walking on a hallway. I was scared as hell when I first watched this episode on TV when I was a kid, and that scene is forever burned in my brain LOL

By the way, thanks for reminding me about this show, really want to watch it again now!

This is too strange, I literally had bought this whole series on Vudu a week ago and have been binging it since. Hadn't seen it since they originally aired. I remember the Tale of the Midnight Madness giving me nightmares when I was kid and I usually love vampire stuff, but that Nosferatu...

I was pretty young with the original series so I don't remember much but I do remember an episode where this girl has a necklace, I think, and there was a rat creature... it's not much to go on to find the title and I don't remember if it was the first version of the show or the second, but I remember that scaring me the most out of all of the episodes I had seen lol

Of course any clown monster also always creeped me out.

Definitely agree with Dead Man's Float. It terrified me as a kid and even as an adult I have to respect that they didn't soften the look of the ghost when it finally arrives. It's a straight up ****in' rotting dead dude.

I'm surprised that particular episode didn't get a ratings bump just based on how scary the damn thing looks (some episodes of Star Trek Discovery are TV-MA). Lyke, you can't show that shit to 7-year-olds, man. Even as an adult, I have a hard time watching it (though it probably doesn't help that my only real way of doing so is up close on my laptop), imagine 7-year-old me.

Forgot what it was called but it was a cat or racoon creature that wears a hoodie and hates flutes.

For me, it has to be without question The Tale of the Prom Queen.

The scene under the bridge, creepy as hell. The ending, creepy as hell!

I own all the MOD DVD's from Amazon and am happy with my purchase

Same for me, The Tale of the Dead Man's Float
When I was in Elementary, our school always has field trips with swimming.
I’m so scared of going into the pool because I’m afraid the zombie will grab me and drown me!

The Tale of Laughing in the Dark messed me up. That's the one where a lad steals the nose from a clown mannequin in a ghost house at a fun fair. The clown was a criminal that hid in there once and burned that place down with a dropped cigar.

Then later when the kids alone he gets phone calls croaking at him to "give it back", his microwave explodes in cigar smoke (I think there's cigars in a pan at some point), smoke comes from under his bedroom door and a balloon with "give it back" written on it inflates itself from under the doorway. It's all implied stuff but it haunted me for a while.

The Ghastly Grinner stuck with me because rictus grins have always unsettled me. Also this:

Weirdly I don't actually have coulrophobia at all, but these two are both "clown" orientated.
