The National Library in Norway is set to release a Blu-Ray box set of silent films from before 1920, Stumme filmspor. No date given, but will be after summer.

Next week the National Library releases two DVDs
Gjest Baardsen (1939)

These have a pre order price of NOK 129,50 with free shipping from PK. I think it is weird they didn't release these as Blu Rays, as I think the market for them will be people who appreciate the highest quality possible.

There will also be a Vibeke Løkkeberg box set, but no more info about that.

I got this in the mail today

As mentioned it is region-free and contains removable english subtitles.

Note: This is a 1080i 25 fps release. Some US users might have problems with that (even though it shouldn't be in this day and age)

Today, I received the order from the National Library, but my feelings are mixed. Someone wished me a Happy New Year in Serbian on the invoice, but there is an issue since they haven't delivered two additional discs with Amundsen's expeditions that I intended to gift. Fortunately, the CN23 form states that there are 3 discs in the package, saving me from proving that five discs cannot fit in such a small package.
