Hmmmm...this is intresting news, Para said that they won't be dropping HD DVD but they didn't say that they won't be doing BD too. Intresting...

This is a Blog: http://highdefnews.blogspot.com/2008...o-blu-ray.html

Not a reliable source but would be nice

Not so much for the Bee Movie even though I personally would be buzzing about this title but for the move to neutrality would be flippin huge.

This thread should be titled RUMOR

Thanks...Penton did post that Dreamworks would probably release first, then Paramount. Maybe this is the beginning of Penton's prediction.

Spartan is like one of the news editors at Blu-ray disk news or something. He seems alright. like the other guy said though he can be a hit or a miss.

Hmm.
As someone commented above, Penton did say he thought Dreamworks would go Blu/neutral first before Paramount. Also, in this weeks edition of Home Media Magazine, they had a big Bee movie ad which mysteriously only advertised the DVD edition (ie: were they wanting to avoid mentioning an HD release and spill the beans?).
I'm not normally one to speculate, but I kind of had an "ah ha!" moment when I put the information from stockstar, the comments from Penton, and the Bee Movie ad which avoided mentioning HD together.
Probably is nothing, but it would be nice.

i doubt it very much. besides, i won't be buying para titles until they are 100% blu, and 0% hd dvd. the way they betrayed us all leaves a mark....
universal, I would be buying their movies when they come to neutrality

Last I recall, SpartanJohnson was run out of here on a rail for spreading FUD and trash-talking Penton on other forums. People also claimed at the time that SpartanJohnson was a high school kid with a blog basically pretending have inside sources.

While I personally thought banning him was a little harsh, and while I don't know if he's really just a high school kid, I think I'd want another source before I give this the slightest bit of credence.

Still...it is interesting that the ad in HMM for The Bee Movie did not mention an HD DVD release, isn't it?
