Default Buena Vista's Box Covers

In order to further promote the "High Definition" of Blu-Ray, Buena Vista has given their box art a facelift. Personally I think it looks terrible. Let me know what yall think.

As long as the spines stay in unison with the translucent Blue color on the tops and bottoms I could care less.

Good post though

That looks more like its part of the plastic case than the cover art.

I kindah like it.
Even better if its molded into the plastic!

I don't know why they want to change the box. It looks fine as is. The people already know that it's Blu-ray based on the size and color of the box. The 1080p may be misleading in very small percentage of video-based titles that are only 1080i.

The art for Enchanted also looks like it came straight from the poster. Hopefully the final version is tasteful 'cuz I'd be getting this title.

loose the oversized blu-ray and 1080 and it is fine.

in otherwords.. PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!

it looks awful this way. like a cheesy ad with oversized fonts and lots of yelling.

I'll check into it, but as I've said before I seriously believe that this is either A- Just a slipcover, or more likely B- Just for the advertising keyart

I have a VERY strong belief that the movie won't actually look like that on store shelves. Stuidios release slightly altered coverart for advertisements all the time.

Does anyone remember all of the advertisements for Shrek 2 on DVD? They looked like this:

And when it was actually released, it looked like this:

I'm quite postive the same thing is happening for these disney movies

I don't see that as real at all. There already various reincarnations floating about the net.

That is a generic... nevermind.

Seriously, it most likely is an advertising art, and come release day, the actual product will be more like what we have most likely been seeing so far.

Arrow Interesting!

I don't mind the top or anything else for that matter. But the bottom is killing me! The bottom definitely needs an overhaul. . . but I doubt they'll release the title like this. Maybe they're just looking for consumer feedback from people like us on forums like this. . . ? Could it be. . .?

After looking at Amazon iamges for Hildago and Coyote Ugly it does indeed look like nothing more than a clear slip cover.

However, the image from Enchanted looks as if it actually part of the case.

Yes, it is shocking! I mean a bad cover art or a crappy design always turned a good movie into a bad one! When do the Hollywood Studios get that....
