Day one for this one! Still not going to the theater, but this is one of my most anticipated of the year.

Wish the first would get a 4K for it's 30th anniversary and to tie in with this films home video release.

This is hands down one of THE best Dolby Atmos mixes I've heard this year in a Dolby Cinema auditorium, the second one being "Scott Pilgrim"

from what I can find online, this is a 5.1 ONLY release, unless verification, the playback in the DC sound system still sounded fantastic

Really? I ended up reserving a Prime theater ticket since I didn't see it listed at all on the Dolby Cinema theatrical release page. IMDB also only lists Dolby Digital. I just assumed it didn't get either Dolby Vision or Atmos and was only getting Dolby Cinema showtimes thanks to a slow release week. I might have to make a longer trip if it's worth catching it at Dolby Cinema...

Yeah I think you're right - well it "looked" great in 4K laser and the sound mix notably during the elevator scene was aurally spectacular.

No worries, I appreciate the Dolby Cinema review. Isn't it funny how you can often remember specific scenes standing out thanks to Atmos? The "Call Me" scene from Conjuring 3 was like that for me. Gonna bite the bullet and make the 1.5 hour drive both ways through the desert tomorrow for this 1.5 hour film.

and it's the perfect running time for this movie, no fat just the meat - and stay for the end credits, I've never seen an end credit like this before, just beautiful.

So good to hear it has Dolby Atmos sound. That was that i was hoping for. Also good to hear it sounds very nice.

I was a little disappointed in this one but I’ll be up for giving it another chance when the UHD is released. It will be tragic if we don’t get the original at some point.

From what I've been able to listen of the soundtrack, it's very good. Will definitely be getting the CD and Vinyl if I can.

Maybe Best Buy will be doing an exclusive 4K steelbook version. Wish it was out on 4K Bluray by Halloween. With it being held back a year they would of had ample time to put together special features for the movie even while social distancing because of the virus.

Pretty sure all that stuff was done already. The physical media release comes way later because they actually want you to see it in theaters or pay for it on VOD.
