Lightbulb The "upgrade to" feature should include digital movies

I like this site's "upgrade to" feature that tells users which movies in their disc collection are available in a higher quality disc version, however it'd be nice if our digital collections were included such that the "upgrade to" feature would tell us:
1. which of our digital movies are available in a higher quality digital version (for example, movies that we own in standard definition and that are available in high definition)
2. which of our disc-based movies are available in a higher quality digital version (for example, movies that we own on DVD and that are available digitally in high definition)
3. which of our digital movies are available in a higher quality disc-based version (for example, digital movies that we own in standard definition and that are available in high definition on blu-ray).

When users add a digital movie to their collection, this feature would require those users to specify what quality they own the movie in (standard definition, high definition, or 4K), similar to how users are required to specify whether they own a disc-based movie on DVD, blu-ray, or 4K UHD blu-ray.

#1 and #2 on my list would help us, for example, find out which movies in our 1080p collections (digital or disc) have been released in 4K digitally but not on 4K blu-ray and that might never be released on 4K blu-ray. That is a practice that some studios are following, and that is why I am making this suggestion.

Wouldn’t going from a physical copy to a digital one be a downgrade and not an upgrade?

It depends. It would probably be a downgrade to go from a disc copy at 1080p to a digital copy at 1080p. It would be a different story to go from a disc copy at 480i to a digital copy at 4K, or from a digital copy at 480p to a disc copy at 4K. I'm using the extremes to illustrate my point. While I suppose it is unlikely that a user would own a movie on DVD (480i disc) and be interested in upgrading to a copy of that movie on 4K digital, the "upgrade to" feature could help that user do that. I suppose that it would also be unlikely that a user would own a movie digitally in 480p (standard definition) and be interested in upgrading that movie to a 4K UHD Blu-ray copy, but the "upgrade to" feature could help that user do that.
