The Bad Guys was released on 3D Blu-ray in Australia by Random Space Media and now in Germany by Turbine. The discs are REGION FREE. All other releases worldwide are 2D only.

Universal/Dreamworks' next The Bad Guys will be released in RealD 3D, confirmed at the end of the new trailer and there are stereo 3D credits on IMDb.
In cinemas April 22 2022. Rated PG.

This trailer just summarises (spoils) the whole film, but it could be great in 3D.
There are some shots in the trailer that scream to be watched in 3D, provided the conversion is strongly done.

According to Bluray-disc.de Germany it gets NO 3D disc, even NO 4K disc is planed for this movie in Germany.

Oh, that hurts!!! Now ,i think, we can prepare for major bummer with Jurassic World 3 & Minions 2 followed by Mario. Seems good home 3D friendly Universal followed the Paramount & Disney NO 3D route

I'm not wondering. Universal social media advertisement for this movie in Germany had this line: "Only in cinema in 3D" These words in one sentence seemed new to me... It was often called: "Only in cinema. In 3D." before.. So they exactly meaned what i feared...

The Bad Guys could be an interesting movie, and hopefully with worthwhile 3D.

The hope is that there will be a new resurgence of blu ray 3D releases from more studios by time Avatar 2 hits theaters if no more delays...

I've been struggling to find this in 3D near me. Apparently, Marcus won't be able to confirm if they acquired the screening rights for the 3D version until Monday.

Cinemark here has updated their listings for this and it looks like they are rotating 3D showings of it between late afternoon and late evening.

Two Marcus theaters in my market have now listed 3D showtimes for the opening week. Marcus has nearly 50% of the marketplace here. Perhaps there will be more showings listed in the next day or two. Fingers crossed.

Marcus has skipped the 3D presentations here, but, a local independent theater has it 25 miles away. Worth it!

I don't. Releasing a theatrical 3D version of a film is an almost 100% prerequisite to having the possibility of a 3D blu-ray. I'd rather look at one thread. What is more burden - skipping theatrical posts when you are disinterested, or having to search multiple threads regarding the same movie? The latter.

Agree, plus it’s not like there’s so much to talk about we need to be dividing up threads, this forum is empty enough as it is. It may have worked back in 2013 when 3D Blu-ray was bumping lol.

In all fairness, this 3D section generally has the second most visitors of any particular one.

I'm not sure what the problem is considered to be with having threads start out as theatrical movie threads and then, whenever the 3D bluray rolls out, making the natural transition to bluray threads.

There are now 10 theaters in my market (Marcus and AMC) with The Bad Guys showing in 3D. Posting the new showtimes the day before release is late, but I'll take it! My 5th grader wants to see this. If his baseball team either gets some rainouts or burns out earlier in a tournament this weekend, we'll have a good chance to go. Hope you all get to see it in 3D too.

Which goes to show how bone headed it is that 3D Blu-ray is so shunned these days when it still has a passionate following, if niche (which is exactly how you can describe the 4K format).
