Saw this being promoted by Sean Baker on twitter -
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/t...ion-campaign#/ This was copied from the indiegogo page " An introduction Hello all, I’m pleased to welcome you to the Malombra’s first release. I am Elia G. Fèrroli, founder of Malombra Films Ltd. We are a new-born distribution company which aims to bring overlooked cult films of the past back to life! Our mission is to distribute exclusive premiere genre films restored in the highest definition from the original negatives. The films we have re-discovered and carefully selected belong to a variety of genre, all of which you will enjoy in Blu-ray, on your favourite streaming platforms and even in selected cinemas across the UK. This is only the beginning of what we will do. Your help means more films for more enjoyment, bringing a new series of volumes back to life with added extra-contents including making-of documentaries and interviews with the filmmakers. The film Malombra is divided in volumes, each one exploring a theme, time or filmmaker. All volumes contain a range of films to explore the sections above from all-different perspectives and to gain a brimming understanding of the chosen topic. Our first volume is on Italian genre films of the 1960s, and the first title on the list is... The Sex of Angels (1968): Join three beautiful young women on a boat trip to Yugoslavia for a sex-and-drugs fuelled adventure, from director Ugo Liberatore." Has anyone even received their bluray yet? Somehow the whole thing is starting to look like a scam to me.

I'm holding off until there's a confirmed delivery to someone and at least a review of the disc. Too many delays and oddities with this release for my liking, they maybe 100% legit a victim of circumstances.

It's not a scam! I received the Blu-Ray in Estonia. Might watch tonight or tomorrow.
To be clear, I received it on the same day with 8 other orders that had been stuck due to the Royal Mail or other postal issues. |

Here's my mini-review:
The movie looks stunning. It's also less sleazy than the cover makes you think, I would say there is less nudity in the film than on the cover images. In fact, I would say the cover is a bit embarrassing, not matching the tone of the film, more suitable for the porn section (meanwhile some new porn releases like The Young Like It Hot have much less embarrassing covers). The movie is also a bit naive when it comes to the story, or alternatively too clever for my 40+ years. It looks great, but does it tell a great story, I'm not so sure. It's also maybe a bit expensive for how bare bones it is - no booklet and the only notable extra is the commentary track, which I didn't yet listen to (I usually skip commentary tracks until a future rewatch as I don't usually feel like immediately rewatching a movie). But I think its fine for a first release of the label. I'm not sure what type of box it is, but it has trouble closing. I just happened to get some empty Indicator boxes so I moved the disc and one-sided artwork into one of those and threw this box away. Overall, despite bringing out the negative, I think it's a pretty good first release for a new label, and I also liked the movie despite it feeling somewhat naive. It's the kind of movie where a lot of the important stuff happens inside the characters' heads and isn't spoken, and I think the actors did quite well. Did anyone who got theirs have it wrapped in plastic, or was it just a bare bluray box with slipcase?
