Guys, is there a reason why all the major releases from Universal (from this year anyway) have been coming out soo much later up here than the US version?
And why the dates for them are almost never accurate on here... It just makes if difficult to plan, budget and organize what to get and when we'll get it. I mean, I know the generalized answer is Canada sucks for releases compared to the US, but there HAS to be an answer for the Universal specifically. |

I can't imagine that being the case. We've always had to deal with the bilingual case issue up here, and that never caused discrepancies in release dates. It's not like they're delays and stores are just getting them late. The actual release dates are a month (or more) apart.
If it was an issue of production delays, if anything it would've caused more issues like this more in 2020 or 2021, not just the past few months. |

I know when Jurassic Park was re-issued on 4K UHD back in May, I saw it and JP III in Walmart the week of its release, with bilingual packaging of course. Never saw a copy or shelf space for The Lost World anywhere though.
Honestly though, I haven't paid that much attention anymore. I gave up buying at Canadian retailers, either they don't carry it, or its loaded with bilingual packaging. |
