I'm guessing it's the same restoration as the Severin release.

Pre-ordered - Rigby is always essential.

I wonder if he'll ever update his Christopher Lee screen history?

You wait for years, then two come along in quick succession.

This looks like an essential release, with the additional commentary track and the 60-minute documentary and the Don Sharp trailers. Also, kudos to Nucleus for restoring the name of the film’s lead actor to the cover art (what an egregious oversight from Severin!). Can’t wait to get this.

It’s a fine film, unfairly maligned and dismissed for god knows what reason, especially considering the abysmal fare that gets released every week by labels like Vinegar Syndrome. The Severin disc got a very positive review on this site. Might want to avoid it for spoilers, though. Buy with confidence.

With regards to the casting, it has been said that most of the big names in it don't have big roles.

My question exactly. I'm curious to know if they both used the same transfer.

I'd be interested to know as well how the transfer looks on Nucleus Films's release (still haven't got their Blu-ray releases of Nothing Underneath and Too Beautiful to Die).

One of those 2 films (can't remember which one) you mentioned that Vinegar Syndrome released across the pond, has the audio problem fixed.

I've had a quick look at the disc, PQ looks pretty good. I think its the same transfer as the Severin release (based on the screen grabs on this site).

The back cover states "transferred from the original internegative"

Yeh amazon cancelled my order without telling me. Seems they haven't been able to get any stock of this in. Picked up a copy from HMV yesterday though in Birmingham. Looking forward to finally watching!

There is a French release coming 10th of May. Perhaps someone could add that release to the title page for this film on this site? “The Manor Of Phantasms”!

Just got an email from Amazon saying they’ve cancelled my order. HMV out of stock as well. Pondering whether to look elsewhere or not bother. Reviews seem to be a mixed bag.

Same here, makes me wonder what the point of pre-ordering is, had to go with a third party seller in the end.

I guess you may have had to pay more as well? Sellers I’ve found are asking for £5 more than Amazon’s pre-order deal.
