Default Help me pick a new television for the bedroom

My wife and I are in the market to buy a new HD television for the bedroom. We're replacing a 26" Philips non-HD. We're looking for something in the range of 32" to 40". Our budget is up to $1,000. At the moment, I'm strongly considering a Samsung LNT4042H 40" LCD HDTV, which Amazon is selling for $999 shipped.

Any thoughts on this television or others you might suggest?

The website for the above television is:

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT404...2687337&sr=1-7

The sammy is a very good tv. It offers a very good picture for the price you pay. I have one at home too.

Amazon also has the Sony KDL-40V2500 40" Bravia V-Series 1080p LCD HDTV on sale for $999 shipped as well.

I wound up going with the Samsung LNT4661F 46" 1080p LCD HDTV - putting this in my family room and the 34" 1080i we have in the bedroom. To make it work, our budget had to increase by $600.

But we're happy, and that's what matters, right?

Thanks to all who provided suggestions!

I can vouch for the LN-T4061F being a fine set
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT406...3116640&sr=8-1

Edit: ha ha I just noticed you already chose a set, oops
And I just noticed it's the same one I recomended but bigger, you must've read my mind.
It's a great tv, looks as good as my xbr in pq IMHO
