Coming 3/26/24 from VCI Entertainment on 4K UHD and Blu-ray. No details yet other than cover artwork.

...and of course they would have to pair it with that abominable sequel.

That sequel is truly awful.

I love the original, and own the VCI blu. Given that this is a television movie, I'm wondering how much better it could look. It was shot on 35mm, so it's possible.

It could look a lot better in 4K, at least as long as VCI aren't handling the transfer/encode.

Thankfully they didn't handle the actual disc content of the old Blu-ray, which is why it turned out nicely, so perhaps that will be the case again.

I'll definitely wait to see some reviews first though. The fact that it's being paired with that sequel already makes me cringe.

why is Scarecrow plural? I hope they offer just the first one. That sequel is unwatchable.

Well you know how it is with VCI...

Their DVDs look like VHS
Their Blu-rays look like DVDs
Their 4Ks look like Blu-rays

So at least we can get this in Blu-ray quality now on a 4K disc

Doesn’t inspire much confidence given their first 4K disc release. Wouldn’t get my hopes up on the quality, given it is VCI.

I was hoping Vinegar Syndrome would get the first one after they got Terror at Tenkiller from VCI. That cover art is hideous, I don't want the OG paired with that abomination of a sequel, and I'm worried it won't look particularly good tbh. Shame.

TBH, I didn’t know there was a sequel, but I’m not honestly sure if I care. Love the first movie though, but I can wait on a review for this one. I’m sure I’ll eventually break, but like someone else mentioned, I wish VS took the reins on this one.
