The Big Chill / Il grande freddo (Kasdan, 1983)

This was released in 2021, but I've had issues with my decrypter on this... today I solved the problem, so screencaps! Not surprised to see that this Italian release, encoded by Sony, has much better grain management if compared to the Criterion. Resto is the same. So, PQ-wise, the Italian is the way to go. You may want to keep the CC for the extras, though.

NOTE: keep in mind that (at least, when I bought it, I don't know now) this came in one of those cardboard custom-cases with the disc being very loose (some of you may recall, for instance, this Once Upon a Time in the West release). Generally the disc doesn't get damaged, but my adivce is to store the disc in a safer place, and trash the custom.
