Default "Cloverfield" Monster Revealed

The crushing-and-wailing baby monster (yes, for those who never found out, the big bad was/is apparently a baby from something much bigger or crankier than it) of "Cloverfield" has been revealed for all it is here, courtesy of Hasbro.

Looks like a bat, mouse and spider all got together for a steroids bash with the entire cast of the Mitchell report and something went horribly wrong in the process of all the par-tay-ing.

It looked a hell of a lot better (and scarier) in the movie. If anyone is reading this thread and has not seen the movie, don't let this stupid toy stop you from seeing it. It does it absolutely no justice.

The prototype has lots of flaws. One that strikes me is that the abdomen on the monster in the movie had tentacle thingies and two smaller arms.

It's a pretty big toy. More of a collectible, really. It also has several dozen points of articulation (ie. movement), which is far above most $10 action figures that just let you move the limbs.

I fully expect this "toy" to appear on the shelves of many nerds, right next to their Han Solo blaster replica and ET Pez dispenser collection.

That would have been an extremely cheesy and ill-advised decision in my opinion so I am glad they didn't go that route with the design of the creature, at least.
