I might see it this week, so I’ll know for sure, but I’d imagine it’s an “in name only” adaptation. From the trailer it’s a comedy-action vehicle for Gosling from the John Wick director (a former stuntman).

Looks more like Bad Boys than the Lee Major series, but so far I’ve only seen clips.

Wikipedia says it is loosely based based on the TV series so make what you want from it.

I haven't seen the show from way back when, but based on the synopsis (Stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter) and seeing the film, I'd say it is very loosely inspired at most.

Having seen the movie, it is not like the series bar he's a stuntman. It's an over the top cheese/action/comedy.

So, apparently the UK Blu-ray set has been recalled by HMV.

The reason - WB/Universal ended up supplying a 4K disc (For the Extended Cut) instead of regular BD disc.
