Love this movie. I was hoping this would be included in one of the Columbia classics set. Nice to see it as a standalone release.

I think I saw this in in the winter of 94 or early 95. It was when I really started to appreciate catching matinees on my own. Very cathartic.

I'd call this a well made Hollywood production. The sort of grand epics that went out of style after the 90s. It just feels like it should be better than it is.

But it'll look gorgeous and it's at the very least a good film.

I used to absolutely love this movie, watched it countless times back in the day. I’m afraid it’ll come across as really corny now, but at the same time I’m really excited to revisit it. It should be a stunner of a UHD anyways. Even if it is corny, I hope I still have love for it.

About time. The 30th anniversary was about to end.

This is gonna look gorgeous given Sony's rep.

I love this movie and will get this day one. Not only is it a beautiful movie to look at, it's a throwback to the epic melodramas that just aren't made anymore. It'll be a great pairing with fellow epic melodrama Far and Away, which is also being released on 4K this quarter.

Fantastic news, here's hoping it gets announced for the UK too, to save me the expense of importing. Great film with one of James Horner's finest scores.

I assume this will be a MOD release, so an international release is unlikely.

That would be a first for Sony i think, but i doubt it since there is a slipcover and a digital code. MOD's don't usually have digital codes.

Oh you're right, I overlooked the digital code part. So yeah, this will be a wide release then. Sony had been releasing many of their non-Steelbook 4K's via MOD recently (Little Women, Can't Hardly Wait, etc..) so I was afraid this might have been one too.

Edit: Looking into it, both Can't Hardly Wait, and Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunstrip showed it had a Digital too, and they were MOD

Since looks like Sony dropped what they are releasing in DEC, guess no anniversary 4K for Go (1999) my favorite modern Christmas film.

Darn it!

Sony has released previous MOD 4K releases with digital copies.

The following MOD 4K releases also had digital codes:

The Lady from Shanghai
The Legend of Zorro
My Best Friend's Wedding

My dad loves this movie!

I feel like I have seen parts of it but not sure about the whole thing.

I may pick it up when it’s on sale. Too many great ones I know I love coming in the next 3 months!
