The old Blu ray is terrible so this is a must. Looks like Universal doesn’t release stuff themselves anymore though.

The laserdisc edition had an obscenely LOUD soundtrack that rattled ones teeth

Universal was pumping out affordable catalogue titles with great masters for a while there it’s too bad. Kino at least you get nice artwork, extras and the price is in line but good encoding and original audio seems to be too complicated for them

Kino are killing it with Universal's back catalog of disaster movies! In less than a week, we got 4K UHD announcements for AIRPORT, AIRPORT 1975, AIRPORT '77, THE CONCORDE: AIRPORT '79, DAYLIGHT and DANTE'S PEAK.

Hope EARTHQUAKE, THE HINDENBURG and ROLLERCOASTER aren't far behind!

Yes and then Universal will do their own release next Summer just to annoy everyone who bought the Kino versions!
