I have a copy of this. Has anyone else noticed that the menu link on Series 1 Disc 1 to "Murder at the Vicarage" doesn't work? I had to use the "Play All" option and skip forward to it.

May I ask, how much does this set weigh? Thanks.

With the shrinkwrap removed, it's just under 390 grams.

Ordered, but I haven't received it yet. Have you contacted Via Vision regarding this issue? How did they respond?

I did contact them and they said they would forward my feedback onto the production house to look into it. The boxset hasn't been available for long, so it's likely very few people have actually even found the issue (assuming it's not just an issue with my bluray player) or reported it.

Is there a database entry for this new set? Only old releases come up when I search for it.

I'm waiting on my copy to reach the US, so I can't check out that playback issue yet.

Thank you! I didn't realize I had my search set to US only.

Do you know how to get this forum thread associated with the database entry? I looked but can't figure it out.

My understanding is that you put the thread URL in the "Official forum link" field when editing the entry. I've already got a proposal pending for this, but it hasn't been approved yet.

I wish we could get the Margaret Rutherford movies of Miss Marple on Blu-ray.

Really depends on who has the rights to them. Might be worth looking into that and seeing which distributor has access to the relevant catalogue, then letting them know that there is interest in seeing them on Bluray. Since they are British MGM productions, you could try asking on the Indicator thread (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=281583) - if Indicator don't have the rights, somebody on the thread might know who does.

Honestly, it's a miracle we've gotten this Marple boxset - very few ITV productions actually make it to Bluray, or if they do there are complications, e.g.

- Endeavour on Bluray in the US is locked to Region A (also don't know if it is the original framerate or not, since some UK programmes get butchered for the US release)
- Poirot is only available as the French boxset which means importing it (which I did and then Australian Border Force opened it and got their grubby fingerprints on some of the discs)
- Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes is available as a region-free MPI release, but you have to buy them individually (and there's an issue with two of the episodes; no idea if the same problems exist on the French, German or Spanish releases)

And then just forget about trying to get Inspector Morse, A Touch of Frost, etc. on Bluray!

Thanks. Funny that the episodes I've watched so far (just picking out some I hadn't seen in a while) are the ones that mostly work according to your list! I'll have to check the others, but that's a bit concerning that almost every disc has an issue with the menu item for the second episode.

Have you informed Via Vision?

My copy is supposed to arrive on Monday, so I'll confirm then as well. I hope they will do a replacement disc program...

Unfortunately having checked the other discs now, I can confirm LT.Schaffer's results: only Series 2 Disc 2 and Series 3 Disc 1 have menus that work as intended.

Also noticed another very minor issue - the menu music on the Series 3 discs does not loop like the Series 1-2 discs.

By the way, it looks like each episode has 12 chapters, so skipping to chapter 13 on the combined "Play All" title gets you to the start of the second episode on the disc.

I'll update Via Vision on my findings. I would expect that any disc replacement program will wait until the standard edition is released (i.e. individual series), which I suspect is likely based on the way the discs have been packaged.
