Just picked this up.

Memoir of a Snail is the same disc as the one released a month or so ago (obviously). Looks great.

Mary and Max, despite the new Madman branding on the outside, seems to be the exact same (absolutely fantastic) old Icon blu-ray (no Madman opening; same Icon opening, menu, features, transfer etc...). Holds up wonderfully.

Harvie Krumpet seems to have undergone a brand new restoration for this Blu-ray. The accompanying booklet mentions they went back to a 35mm interpositive instead of the OG 16mm neg, but that they worked from a 4k pipeline, so that's pretty cool. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet tho, so have no comments on it.

Also, the whole storyboard animation version of Memoir of Snail is included on disc 3 as well, which is freakin awesome!

I've seen unboxing videos on Youtube and the back states NO Subtitles, can somebody confirm for me if both movies (Mary and Max + Memoir of a Snail) has English subs? If so, I can definitely pick it up then!

It would be greatly appreciated if somebody could confirm this for me

I don't know what unboxing you're watching but here is a scan of the back of the slick. Subtitles: English

Thank you for uploading this picture. I've seen unboxing videos and the outer packaging states NO subs on the back, but the blu-ray case inside on the back does say English subs, hence my confusion. Have you maybe watched both movies (played the discs) and can you definitely confirm that they have English subs? If so, I am getting this collection ASAP!

I received the set today and can confirm that despite the outer sleeve saying "none", the inner box is correct: there are English subtitles for Memoir of a Snail and Mary & Max. There are no subtitles on the third disc, which contains Harvie Krumpet and his other shorts. Nor are there subtitles on the extras on the feature discs - only the films themselves have them.

Anyone have a complete list of bonus features?

Here's what I see. I know Harvie Krumpet is also on the 2010 US disc, but I'm curious about bonus features pertaining to the films:

Mary & Max
  • Audio commentary by writer/director Adam Elliot (all US discs/all AU discs -- I assume the US/AU discs use the same track?)
  • "Making Mary & Max" (15:48) (all US discs)
  • "Behind-the-Scenes" featurette (8:15) (all US discs/all AU discs -- presumably "Technical Making-of Featurette" on the AU disc)
  • 2 Alternate Scenes (2:01) (2010 US disc/all AU discs -- presumably "Alternate Endings" on the AU disc)
  • "Casting Call" featurette (1:37) (2010 US disc/all AU discs -- presumably "Audition of Young Mary" on the AU disc)
  • 3 Animatics (12:41) (all AU discs)
  • 11 Time Lapse Shots (13:59) (all AU discs)
  • Deleted Scenes (1:55) (all AU discs)
  • 6 Webisodes (15:38) (all AU discs)
  • Interview with Philip Seymour Hoffman (8:16) (2025 US disc)

Memoir of a Snail
  • Audio commentary by writer/director Adam Elliot (all US/AU discs -- I assume the US/AU discs use the same track?)
  • Q&A with Adam Elliot and Jacki Weaver (28:17) (US discs)
  • Magic of Stop Motion (1:08) (US discs)
  • Interview with Sarah Snook (3:49) (US discs)
  • Making of Memoir of a Snail (6:30) (US discs)
  • Behind the Scenes of Memoir of a Snail (2:38) (US discs)

In other words, if I get the US double feature in addition to this set and swap out Memoirs of a Snail, and add the new US disc for Mary & Max, I should have all the bonus features.
