September 25th 2025. I like how the creator of Sonic said this game was kind of better than "that other cart racing game" for Switch 2. That was funny. Maybe it is. I don't think this offers an open world to explore, but it is called Cross Worlds.

Minecraft in the game, that's interesting for a Sonic game.

There are a ton of Cart Racing games, so hopefully this offers something more and unique. Last cart game I played was Garfield Cart Racers, which was just okay at best.

6 content packs on the way, including the Minecraft themed track and playable characters. It says we will get stuff from other "pop culture franchises" so I guess at least some of the content packs will be collaborations.

The next two crossovers are TMNT: Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends. Would have preferred any of the classic TMNT styles, don't much care for the Mutant Mayhem style which probably just means I'm too old/not the target audience. Honestly none of the announced crossovers interest me so I don't think I'll get the season pass.

Where is Ms. Pac Man, Chomp Chomp his dog, Baby Pac and Pac Jr.? Pac Man is a good start though.

Played a bit of the ONT, it’s ok but not inspiring me to buy day-1. Unless that sixth crossover DLC is something exciting (or maybe news on the free Sega guest characters) I’ll hold out for a discount.

I've been playing the ONT and this game really surprised me. I've never liked Sonic racing games but this one is very fun. Not as polished as Mario Kart World, but it's much more enjoyable IMO. I'll wait for a sale but will definitely pick this up eventually.

The online stability during the test has been a crapshoot though. The first night wasn't bad at all, but it seems like there's been more connection errors every day since. Hopefully they'll work the issues out before the test is over because I'd like to play it some more and as of now it's far more likely to crash than load a race.
