Should Jeff Goldblum and/or Sam Neill return in "Jurassic Park IV" for 2009? - Blu-ray Forum

To me, it's either/or for me. I would personally like to see Jeff Goldblum back as Ian Malcolm in "JP4", but Sam Neill is also a damn great actor also, and it would a crime not to see him back as Dr. Alan Grant! But then again, I'd love to see the both of them get chased by dinosaurs some more! Two Jurassic Park veterans equals twice the excitement! What do you think?

P.S. According to the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), Laura Dern is rumored to return as Dr. Ellie Satler, which would be a real treat for all of us!

My favorite line, lol.

On an on-topic note, I believe they should go in a new direction, actually - but still have a relatively well known actor there. Then again, I am against there even being a JP4 in the first place. They did get progressively worse.

haha, it might be difficult since he was consumed by a rather vicious velociraptor.

i thought JPII was just as good as 1, and 3 was really exciting despite the even more ridiculous plot. can't wait for 4

I think Laura Dern is returning for JP4. I'd love to get Sam and Jeff back. Jeff's such a quirky actor.

Did Vince Vaughn's character survive Lost World? I forget. But it'd be nice to have him muckin' it up, too.

Depends on the story. Jeff Goldblums character was integral to the Jurassic Park book and The Lost World book.

Been a while since I read it - can't recall how it ended.

I agree the 3rd one was horrible, but hopefully this one will be Better. however; I do think the Lost World was the Best one so far.

i was surprised to see that shia would be in the new indy. But I actually like him as an actor so I think its a good thing. I realize some people have beef with his acting though

I think his personality will be a good fit for the indy franchise. Now as far as him carrying on the Indy torch, I don't know about that.

Even Stevens was his start haha.

If this movie is MADE its fine enough for me. They just need to make it already, stop delaying

I think his acting skills are ok. I'm just concerned that they're going to try and cast him as a tough guy, and that strikes me as ridiculous.
I'm hoping Hollywood doesn't try and pass him off as a gritty hero like they have misguidedly done with the effeminate Orlando Bloom.
Back to topic, I would like to see Ed Harris in Jurassic Park.
