Yeah, apparently they couldn't find a theatrical distributor for the film then, with one studio saying it was too violent/graphic, so it was shelved. Cinedigm just picked it up, and are releasing it now in theaters.

Was ready to purchase but noticed in its movie thread, people were saying it likely won’t have HDR.

Maybe Umbrella will release it with HDR some are saying.

Edit: well, someone in the 4k thread mentioned this will indeed have HDR, so I ordered it. Can always cancel later if confirmed it does not.

I like the art, but wish they went with the aesthetic of a toxic waste barrel like the popcorn bucket. The lenticular O-Card that morphs between Winston and Toxie is a cooler idea.

Even when the movie is filmed earlier the year should be the year of release so saying 2023 is confusing to me.

it premiered at Fantastic Fest in September 2023... it just took forever to find distribution for wide release...
