Hiya,
Just a question.. my TV is 1440 x 990, would Blu Ray players scale to my TV's native resolution to avoid the blurriness of TV upscaling? Or would I need a TV with a different resolution? |

It's a Samsung TV Monitor, dont have the model number to hand at the moment, but I'm pretty sure the native res is 1440 x 990. Either way it isn't 720 or 1080, hence my asking..
Maybe my understanding isn't up to scratch (I'm pretty new to all this) but I assumned because it isnt a 720 or 1080 resolution the TV would have to rescale the picture to it's native res.. |

Well, if your TV ACCEPTS 1080i/p, the Samsung should probably be able to downscale properly to the 1440 x 990.
If not, then I guess it should upscale it from 720p. So, find out if it accepts the signal and see where to go from there. |

How would I find that out? Wouldn't the scaling of the TV cause artifacts and lag?
