Default release of xmen last stand without other two

Does anyone agree it was silly to bring the final film out of the trilogy and leave everyone with the final film stood there without the 1st and 2nd to go with it in there collection.Has anyone heard of an x men boxset or something?

Very true. I stroke my beard and ponder the stupidity of film studios. Not terribly fussed on the first, but X-Men 2 is magic.

Oh, I don't think it's a bad film by any means. I just think that like the first Spider-Man, it has a whiff of studio tampering. It wasn't until the sequels to both that once Singer and Raimi had proved themselves, were they allowed to do as they pleased.

X-Men: The Last Stand was release on Blu-ray a month after it was release on DVD. Studios are trying to keep up with releasing newer movies on DVD and Blu-ray at or about the same time. The Same reason why we have Rush Hour 3, Smallville Season 6, The Sopranos Season 6, Nip/Tuck Season 4 and none of the ealier ones. Just give it time and we'll see the rest.

X2 has BD-Live feature which have alredy been shown off. They are probably waiting for the players to be released to support it before releasing.

This is the first I'd heard of this too.

Like others I'm expecting at least the first 2 (and hopefully 3) to get released with Wolverine next year. I've not actually seen X3 on Blu but I imagine it's bd-25 mpeg2 and could benefit from a new transfer. Plus - wasn't it missing a lot of bonus features (there was a 2 disc special edition of the DVD afterall)

I may be wrong, but for awhile wasn't this the same case with the oceans movies? Oceans 13 was on blu, but the first 2 weren't. Now the only way to get the first 2 is to buy the box set with all 3. Seems a bit strange.

The first two weren't released other than in the box set. Same as Spiderman

It's a BD50 with High Bit AVC encode. One of the first from Fox in fact...
