Default Pansonic Audio Setup DMP-BD30K

Hi I am hoping someone can help me properly setup my DVD Audio for optimized 5.1 Surround Sound. How do I know to properly set the dB setting for each speaker? Also for my Rear speakers my Left Speaker is about 10 feet from the "sweet spot of the room" and my Right is 5 Feet away. How can I properly configure this since the Rear Speakers only have one Delay setting? I can change their dB setting for each, but not the ms delay. Any suggestions? I am currently going to a Kenwood VR-305 receiver which has 5.1 input but no HDMI input. Thanks for any advice!!

Bdogg,

Usually the speaker setup is made at the receiver/Pre and not the DVD player (configuration of the speaker distance and sound volume leve, etc.).

However, use a tape measure to measure the speaker distance to your sweet spot and buy a cheap SPL meter to measure the sound level of each speaker.
