Default What is your favorite Coen Bros. Film?

No Country for Old Men finally gave the Coen's a academy award, but which of their films is your favorite?

If the Big Lebowski wasn't on the list, it'd be a toss up between Fargo and Raising Arizona........ But there are many great films on that list.

Big Lebowski was GREAT though.

Fargo was great (like Lebowski, put Steve Buscemi in it, and I'll watch it!)

Raising Arizona.... again..... Hilarious.....

The Coen Bro's love John Goodman

Nice poll idea. Fargo with No Country close behind, but I would like to say that all their movies are good.

I think Barton Fink is still my favorite. The imagery and dialogue were a cut above their others. But Fargo, Lebowski, No Country and O Brother are not far behind.

Are you really David Mamet? Cause if you are... that's awesome and welcome to the forums. If not, still welcome.

I'd have to agree with you. All the films are good. I really enjoyed Tim Robbins in the Hudsucker Proxy. So I picked that one. Again, you really can't go wrong here.

haven't nearly seen them all but I had to give my vote to The Big Lebowski. I love Fargo and No Country is probably something I'd say is a better film than Lebowski, but I love comedy and imo The Big Lebowski is the greatest comedy film of all time.

Ultimately an easy choice.

I loved No Country and Fargo, but I had to go with The Dude. Can't wait for this on Blu-ray.

Barton Fink is my sentimental favorite. The Man Who Wasn't There doesn't get enough love---perhaps because it's in black & white? Billy Bob Thornton gives an excellent, understated performance, but Tony Shalhoub almost steals the film with his brief appearance (which ought to be mandatory viewing for future lawyers).

As much as I love O Brother, No Country, and Lebowski, it's still Miller's Crossing for me.

I voted Lebowski, but Intolerable Cruelty gets ignored way too much. It was a masterfully made rom-com.

I haven't yet seen a movie from them I didn't enjoy.

IMO:
1. Miller's Crossing
2. Lebowski (of course)
3. Fargo
4. Raising Arizona
5. Hudsucker Proxy
6. Oh Brother

Haven't seen the rest. Will see NCFOM soon
