PS3 chat signs me out of PSN - Blu-ray Forum

What's your NAT type? Also, do you have the information bar or media sharing on Display/Enabled?

IF your NAT type 3 this probably might be, the source of your problem.

Do discover this, run the connection test the last item is your nat type.

1-2 is good
3 is bad

Just wondering how do u correct the NAT 3 connection to NAT 2 if u use wireless connection?

That is a extremely good question, of which I do not have a answer for.

I suspect looking for threads on fixing that on the playstation underground forums they might have a good resource for you.

I'm on NAT 2, information board was off and media server enabled.

I can't test anything though since nobody ever comes online, and when they do I get about 10 seconds before it crashes. Its not just me who gets signed out, its everyone in the chat at the time.

I can't tell if the information is directly helpful or not, since I don't have anyone to test it with. What I do know is that when I get booted, whomever i'm talking to gets booted as well. So, unless we are on the same NATS, I doubt its the problem.

I need someone to test with so that I can turn media serving on and off, that sort of thing. Maybe its just a case of not having enough bandwidth, im on a 1mb connection. The longest i've been on chat is about 2 mins without disconnecting.

It happens to me as well but usually its just me who gets booted of the psn network and I have nat 3, I induced it a few months ago I use to be nat2 I blame many things but take no direct responsibility for its outcome.

I can humor you if you want... psn dk3dknight Ill probably be off in 8 or so hours probably home at 7pm central.

Hey sorry about last night we certaintly tried...

The last time I got signed out it said a new firmware update was up and suggested I download it when I tryed to sign in to psn... I was like...

-Conflict of interest-

The firmware won im sorry.

In the last firmware I remeber getting errors that said my internet connection was unstable.. yay for unstable broadband (wired)
