I typically use THX Ultra2 Cinema with ReEQ:OFF and Audessey:ON.
Ultra2 Cinema mode is only applicable if you have a 7.1 speaker system. It won't show up as an option unless the receiver is configured for 7.1. Ultra2 Cinema creates a natural soundfield. It applies all of the THX post processing (except I disable ReEQ unless the soundtrack is overly harsh). Some prefer layering ProLogicIIx since it uses the rear channels more agressively. Try some of them out or just feed it straight and see which one you prefer. |

I don't think so, but it only takes a couple of minutes to set it. It's in the setup menu under listening modes. You have to set each input type for each device. So, go through them all for the BD player and again for each other device you use (sat receiver, vcr, dvd, whatever)
