Default Lookin' for a Surround System
Howdy yall!
Im looking to add a surround system to my papa's (aka the Sheriff) KDS-50A2000. I don't know much about specs or brand names but I own a PS3 40 gig and a friend of mine told me I should get something that can play 7.1 channels and be able to connect a fibre optic cable. He also said it should have DTS and dobly digital decoders.
Now, like probably everyone else here I want to try to get the best system I can for the least amount of money. Anyone got any suggestions? As far as a price range goes id like to only spend 1000-1500.
Also, is there a difference between running an HDMI and optical? I heard theres no quality difference and since my tv doesnt have the output I wanted to check and make sure.
