I'm really hoping at least some of the below will be released before Halloween this year.

The Exorcist (multiple versions using seamless branching please)
Witchboard
The Cave
Candyman
Friday the 13th (a few of them including Jason X, heh, maybe Freddy vs Jason as well)
Nightmare on Elm Street (several of them)
Hellraiser (a few in the series actually)
Final Destination (all of them)
Scream (maybe 2 & 3 as well)
The Fog (1980)
End of Days
Fear Dot Com
Ghost Ship
Godsend
Bless This Child
The Grudge
The Ring
The Haunting
Shocker
Darkness
House of the Dead
I Know What You Did Last Summer
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Lost Souls
The Faculty
Disturbing Behavior

Edit: Aliens? Event Horizon? Sci-fi or horror?

Edit 2: Jaws? Horror? If so, Deep Blue Sea also.

Carrie
Prom Night
Rosemary's Baby
Children of the Corn
Lost Boys
Pet Sematary
The Seventh Sign
Poltergeist
Amityville Horror (1979)
Interview with the Vampire
Cursed
BloodRayne

The Mist since I almost bought that on DVD. I haven't seen it yet but want to see it.

Edit 3: The Omen (original), Pumpkinhead and The Craft.

HOUSE OF THE F$#@ING DEAD!?!!?

......and nowhere on your list do I see noteworthy films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Re-Animator, The Evil Dead, The Thing, or Suspiria (the closest you got to worthy was The Exorcist, Hellraiser, A Nightmare on Elm St., and Rosemary's Baby). I understand that film taste is like a#$holes - everyone's got 'em, and everyone thinks theirs doesn't stink, and normally I'd let it slide, but ANYONE who thinks anything Uwe Bowl directed is good and worthy of blu release, well I'm sorry, but I cannot let such a statement go unchecked.

Heh, yeah, I figured a Uwe Boll movie might rattle the cage a little but I didn't even list Alone in the Dark and I have that one on DVD as well.

In House of the Dead, I like the way they show the video game and then the real-life characters mimicking parts of the video game. That is, the freeze-frame thing they do where they pan around the real-life character. I thought that was pretty good (interesting, cool, whatever).

But, that reminds me...I didn't list BloodRayne and need to add that one to my list.

Would Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) work as well on high definition? I just don't think it'll be as scary, considering the very old-school, grainy quality of it.

It looked pretty decent from what I remember seeing on the Monsters HD channel

The grain wasn't too heavy.. what was there added to the feel of the film in a good way! It's wouldn't be TTCM without a gritty feel. At times it did look corny but it always has even in SD IMO.

There is absolutely NOTHING redeemable about House of The Dead, or any of that hacks other celluloid abortions. I've seen better direction on Sci-Fi channel's made-for-TV crap. You are officially hopeless.

I watched this on Sci-Fi a while back. I couldn't believe they edited parts of the game into the movie.

that's the best part

and if they gave it some serious care, they could potentially get a nice remaster out of it. But if anything to preserve the film as it is, is worth it.

I totally agree with this. I have been saying for years that this film is best on an old VHS copy (from a copy from a copy from the original). Throw in a bit of tracking problems and it's perfect.
