Yes, do that. I had the same problem.

The game wants your PS3 synched to the absolute correct time, probably for online scoring purposes. Time set via internet and it will go away.

READ THE REPLIES.

The answer has already been posted. Set your PS3 date/time VIA internet. It's an option in the PS3 system date/time settings.

Regardless of whether you think your time is properly set, do this. I suspect if your clock is even 1 second off, you will get the error message.

Guys, my resolution was to turn the Daylight Savings Time to "On" and then perform an Update Time through the Internet to re-synch up the time. The message went away once I did that

Just curious, are you thinking it's telling you it's the 4th (now the 5th?) everyday?

If so, that big number at the top/middle is the numeric value for the current month (4 for April, now 5 for May, and so on). If you look below that, it should say the correct date.

So some people are getting the time/date message at startup (which is fixed by updating your time over the internet in the XMB) and some are stumped by the non-US standard date formatting?

I've seen a lot of comments around the web with people thinking theirs was set wrong because of the format. I was one of them, but figured it out pretty quickly. It is an odd format, to me, though. I don't know why they need the month as well as its numeric value. It's not even that it's non-US . . . it's just when you look at the calendar, the biggest number on there is the numerical value for the month, not the date, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I have a Date/Time problem w/ GT5 too (eastern Canada). Updating the PS3 clock via the internet makes the time out (slow) by an hour. Correcting manually makes GT5 say the clock's wrong.
