Default PS3 and what type of HT?

I have a BOSE 321 (no flaming please). I just bought a PS3 a month or so ago and I am looking to upgrade my system. The BOSE works, but is a PIA having to switch the optical cables from my PS3 and my Directv receiver since the BOSE has 1 optical input. I know I need something that will be compatible with the PS3. I live in an apartment so I want to find something that would work well there and then be transferred into a bedroom when I buy a house. I don't need the best, just something that will sound nice. What are some suggestions on HT or HTIB's?

get yourself one of these Optical Splitter. Then two cables, then no more switching!

Sony HT-SS2000 ($360)

...but for a long term investment and better audio quality you would be better off to get an Onkyo 605 and a set of speakers.
