Default More info on the *TOP SECRET* ps3 game

If anyone remembers, about a month or so back, somebody had posted an article, which included some info on a "secret" game coming out to ps3, that is supposed to set a new standard for video games, and has a goal to embarrass the 360 by showing how far the ps3 can go.

I havent heard anything about it since then, so i figured it to be a rumor, but the previous info matches with what this writer says. especially when she mentions having to sign a waiver

direct from her article:
Quote:
15. What are the top 5 PLAYSTATION®3 games you're most excited about?

1. LittleBigPlanet
2 Motorstorm 2
3. MGS4
4. An unannounced title coming to PS3 for the first time
5. Another unannounced title coming to PS3 that'll BLOW you away

Sorry, not meaning to rub it in but OMG! The titles are BIG and so were the forms I've had to sign about not releasing any info until after the embargo dates pass BUT all will be revealed in the next two issues of the mag. We've had to fly to London, Paris, San Fran, Vegas and LA to nab this info. We're tired and our eyes are square.

just curious if anyone has any other info or rumors on this

heres the original article from a couple months ago:

Quote:
So what else was I shown? Well, I was shown a trailer for a game not due out till 2009 but was sworn to absolute secrecy. Apparently, Sony just wanted to give a glimpse of what the console will be capable of.

In fact, the game is such a secret that when I mentioned the game to Phil Harrison last week he was unsure at first whether even to admit the title existed. When I explained I had been shown it under strict Non Disclosure Agreement terms he looked relieved.

I don't mean to be a tease - all I can say is that I was left speechless. If the footage I was shown truly is "in game", as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion.

- Linger in Shadows isn't a game. It's more of a tech demo.

- #5 is likely the same unannounced title that the BBC reporter was talking about a few months back.

- I don't know what they're referring to for #4 for sure, but a hazy bet suggests God of War III.

Lair was suppose to "blow" us away.

Lair was a fantastic game, people were just too lazy to learn the controls. Motion sense is what sells Wii games, yet it chases off PS3 users. Go figure. (Incidentally, they put out a patch so you can control it with the sticks, so now you can play Lair while you're too boozed-up to handle Sixaxis motion sense.) I for one hate games that are too easy. I don't want my games "dumbed down" because other people have bad hands. I hope the "Top secret" titles are loaded with sixaxis features. It's the future of gaming, deal with it.

Not just sixaxis, but motion sense in general. Look, I get that you have a problem with sixaxis. I can't understand why, but you do. It has certainly added a great dimension of enjoyment to my gaming experience on PS3. If you're just going to mock me because you don't like sixaxis, I can deal with it, but you're not making any case for your own position at all, you're just being rude. Go play an xbox. Better yet, go get an Atari 2600... those controls should be simple enough.

As much as I love your opinion I think you've got italic text and quote tags mixed up.

yea your loss. six axis is the future of gaming. Ever see someone play resistance, and he gets attacked by a leaper, and he has to shake the controller like crazy to get him off? ive never seen someone that scared/intense. Its as if hes the one being attacked. (just one example of many)

i remember theres a game u reload by jerking the controller forward or something

agreed, go play an xbox, theyre made for simple minded people who just want the cheap basic stuff

Word. That's exactly what I mean. I got PS3 and Resistance the day it came out, and me and my gaming buddies just about had a heart attack when we saw that.
