Default Do they still make DLP tvs?

Is DLP even being manufactured anymore, or is it only LCD/plasma now? If DLP is dead, I feel outdated

DLP will stay around in projectors and as an RPTV technology until such time as flat panels can be made as economically, or laser TV proves itself as durable and superior

Personally, I'm very happy with the look DLP gives. Much more natural than LCD, much cheaper than plasma

I have a Mitsu 720 DLP that has a nice picture but man is it loud. The fan annoyed me so I went out and bought an LCD

I agree. I looked at Sony 1080p LCD and Samsung 1080p DLP side by side.... no difference to me.

The image quality was identical, but the Sammy had 4 extra inches and cost $400 less!

Yeah there are a few companies that make them still. I have mixed feelings about them though and actually want some advice. I feel like DLP are good and obviously good for the value. My dad has a 65" Mitiz and its great picture if you are eye level and directly in front. You move from that position and the change is pretty significant.

I just want opinions I guess on the value of a DLP versus size difference you will get of a plasma/LCD. I recently bought a townhouse and have a finished basement. All that is on my mind is buying another TV. I currently have a 46" Samsung LCD which is freakin awesome. I wanna get something in the 60" range but don't know what to get.

I love my 73" dlp mitsubishi....i have already had it for a year (b-day gift) and no problems here. Still in its original bulb, i've watched two movies in a row and still the same fan speed/ heat are produced. Excellent picture, No complaints here.
