Default First R rated movie you ever saw?

For me, the 1986 Sean Cunningham/Steve Miner horror movie, House. Watched it when I was 8 almost 9. Thought it was terrifying. Can't remember if it actually was or wasn't.

I don't remember anything about it, but it was Dracula's Last Rites. Took me forever to convince my dad to let me rent it, but he finally gave in. I don't remember a single thing about it though. Nightmare on Elm Street was the first R rated movie I remember seeing that I still remember actually watching. That one actually kind of freaked me out. I think I was 8 or 9 . . .

it was either speed, ransom, or air force one...

I really wish I could remember which one i saw first. I saw them all around the same time. I can guarantee it was one of these three though

My first was "Halloween" on HBO with my dad. I must have been around 9 years old and I was afraid to tell my dad that i was scared because then he wouldn't allow me to watch any other "R" rated films. That's probubally the reason that i LOVE horror films to this day

I did the same thing to my kid @ 6 or 7. Same movie, and my wife still gives me grief. (son now 23!). I had no idea about the violence in movie!

I think mine was alien in the 70's, but also could have been silent rage with chuck norris and there were plenty of others that my dad use to take me to. thank god my mother didnt know al the movies my dad use to take me to. she would have killed him. but ya my dad took me to all the R movies in the 70's and early 80's saw alot of stuf at a young age such as T & A and alot of violence. i guess they did not affect me like some think out there i am not warped or a criminal from watching them

I believe I saw Alien when it was on tv, but the first R rated movie I ever saw IN THE THEATER was Rambo.

I was probably 10 or 11 and Dad took me because I wanted to see it so badly and Mom wouldn't let me.

I remember saying "I want to, but Mom will be really REALLY mad."

He looked at me with THAT LOOK and said "**** her"

The rest is history.

Best day ever.

The one that comes to mind is Looking for Mr. Goodbar, mainly because I was underage at the time and my friend and I snuck in.

But I never saw the end. We got kicked out.

i was about 10 and watched The Shining with my aunt and uncle who weren't that much older than me (17/18) it was snowing outside and we went sledging under the moon straight after, needless to say that whole experience has stayed with me my entire life and kick-started my obsession with all things Kubrick.

My earliest memory is Jaws 3 in 3D in the theaters. Scared the crap out if me. Kind of cheesy now, but Jaws remains my favorite movie of all time.
