id love to see starwars trilogy in blueray. what does everyone else think

What is this blue ray you speak of. I thought Star Wars was out on Blu-ray...go to Best Buy and demand that they give you a copy.

We would all love to see the Star Wars movies on Blu. This has been the topic of many many threads here. The general consensus is that it will be quite a while before we see Star Wars come out on Blu. Personally, I only want the original 3 movies - the 3 new ones are just CGI crap to me.

To answer your question for everyone: YES, it is probably the most anticipated and requested BRD out there, and this wont lead to any real discussion because I cant think of an instance of someone (unless they really dont like the movies) saying SW on BRD would be an awful idea.

I am actually waiting for the Super Duper Special Re-edited Extended Cut edition for VHS.

I never have a problem with this post because StarWars F'n SHOULD be on Blu-ray.

It should be made property of the American people and ISSUED at birth or upon arrival!!!

if you use the search function on the top right hand part of this website and searched Star Wars under the Forums section you will see over 100 threads discussing this same subject also its Blu-ray not Blue-ray just a small fix but your not the only one who gets that confused because it does sound like the color blue but its blu

Welcome ! Yes, there are a number of members that want to see the mighty Star Wars on Blu Ray myself included. We will not see Star Wars until Lucas feels he can make enough money based on the ammount of blu players that are on the market. So, it could be a number of years !

You can already download 720p versions from various websites. I own the boxset, and came across these, and they look amazing. I can only imagine what it will look like in 1080p in the official edition.

what's Star Wars? Is it a movie or a show? Does it have Black Bars??? Is there Grain? Can I upconvert to 1080p with component cables on my VCR ? Didn't HD DVD become the standard Format?
