Are EA servers down?

Was wondering if anyone else was having problems?

I have no problem getting online in COD4 or Rockband... but it wont connect me online in my EA games NHL08 and Army of Two...

Anyone else having the same problem and if so anyone have any info on why they are down and when they will be back up?

You made me cringe a bit, because I support web applications and our application group is referred to as "EA". But it has nothing to do with video games.

I would think not isn't Rockband published by EA?

Hmmm good point. And I was able to play ONE game of NHL08 until that started going berserk. I think Army of Two has serious connection issues though. Bleh.

i have the worst experiences with EA servers, very hard to play with friends.....never connects! i doubt the server is down....just usual issues with EA servers

If you go to the Army of Two forum on the EA site, you'll find that the problems appear to be related to the local networks for the players. For some reason, they use a different port for the game, so you may need to open up the port and make sure they're mapped to the correct local IP addresses.

My brother-in-law and I had problems with this when we first got the game, first being able to play without problems, then all of a sudden, could not connect for the life of us, then one day be able to connect, then again, no go. After we figured out that the problems were on his and my network, we are able to play co-op without any hitches any more.

Hmmmm that could be it...my friend and I connected easily the first time...then we went to go play again yesterday and again today and it wont connect for anything...

Soooo, I almost went crosseyed reading your post lol...can you point in the right direction as far as what I/my friend need to do to fix it so its easy to connect again?

Ill check out the EA forums but if you have experience it could help.
