Get ready for some of the hotest and humid weather you will ever experience. July and August are brutal.

Detroit to Portland, 2,500 miles, in three days.
Then back, from Portland to Detroit, in three days, 2,500 miles.

I guess we have a winner!

New Orleans to Indiana, was about 18 hours of driving, fun fun. Then over to Washington DC the next day, and then back to New Orleans a few days later.

Indianapolis to phoenix, straight thru, 32 hours, in summer, with no radio or air conditioning.

I picked up a JDM crx off ebay and drove it back. I miss that car

Went backpacking through Europe in 1995... Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal.
Almost 4 weeks on the road, well on rails. Don't even know how many miles that were. Met tons of interesting people from around the world and still in contact with a few of them.

Well.... maybe not "Miles-wise" but longest road trip, was from Cincinnati Ohio, to Limestone Maine for "IT" a Phish concert...... it ended up taking 15 hours to go the last 50 or so miles, putting the entire trip at about 32 hours....... I made it the first 25 or 26 driving.... but fell asleep in traffic!!!!!! (in park) people were grilling on the road, and basically setting up make-shift cities on streets that had become parking lots.......

Fun times..... God I hope they come back.

Mt Mesuvius.

Then I realized I've never been to Mt Mesuvius.

That was a hell of a trip.

Logan
P.S. name that movie.

Well, after my wife graduated medical school, we took a six week road trip from St. Louis through MO, OK, TX, NM, AZ, UT, ID, MT, ND to our new home in Grand Forks. Camped mostly. Best summer of my life.

Longest nonstop trip, sharing driving was Idaho Falls to Ann Arbor in 30 hours.

Longest solo nonstop trip was either Fargo to Houston or Detroit to Houston, both less than 24 hours.
