Default Does Batman Anthology include Batman Begins?

I have looked for this and I am just wondering if the Batman Anthology will include Batman Begins?

Batman begins has NOTHING whatsoever to do with the original Batman series or movies. It is a brand new fresh take on the characters and world of Batman.
So there is no relation and it will not be included.
I have had the hardest time convincing people that Batman Begins is not related to the other batman movies... which all suck, by the way, compared to Begins and Dark Knight

I thought the first 2 Batman films were great. I don't compare them to Batman Begins, and I'd have a hard time comparing them to Dark Knight. Have you seen it? :P

That said, hopefully Schumaker and Ratner have been permabanned from Super Hero moviedom.

Especially Schumacher! What he did to the Batman series is damn near unbelievable. While I like Nolan's version the best, I thought Burton did a solid job with the characters and the stories and made them interesting to watch (especially Michelle Pfeiffer in that catwoman outfit). Schumacher on the other hand, took a solid series and almost killed it hence we needed to start from the beginning again with another origin story.

My understanding was that these would come out on Blu-ray around the same time as The Dark Knight comes out on Blu-ray - not at the time of Batman Begins on Blu-ray. So I would expect these closer to Xmas.

Bill has stated that WB is working hard to get this out by end of year, but it isn't set in stone yet. There is a chance that it gets bumped to 2009. I hope that this makes release this year though because I am looking forward to this one!!!!

The 1989 Batman is a classic. It is different from Batman Begins, but it certainly doesn't "suck". J.N. was brilliant as the Joker.

I read somewhere that Batman Begins will be released on Blu-Ray sometime in early July. (Perhaps just before The Dark Knight hits theaters).

I can't believe someone could say that Burton's Batman films "sucked." I thought that Batman Begins was good, and The Dark Knight looks promising, but I don't think either can hold a candle to Batman. Keaton was as good of a Bruce Wayne as you are going to get and although Ledger's take on the Joker looks good, Nicholson was perfect.

The first one is a classic, and I love Tim Burton, and JN was great in it. But the character of Batman was not right imo. Why did they kill Joker in the first movie? It didn't make any sense.
But it was a good movie. It was really the only good one of the bunch IMO... all the sequels are awful (even the 2nd one).

Still the point is clear, the other movies are not related at all and so Begins will not be in any anthology of the original Batman movies.

I liked Batman, i did not really like Batman Returns I liked Batman Forever, and as for Batman and Robin what can I say except it was campier and worse than Batman: The Movie with Adam West and Bert Ward, enough said.

Frank Miller's vision of Batman was distinctly different from that of Grant Morrison or any other that has written storylines for DC. The films are no different. Burton's vision was uniquely Burton and stand on their own in the world of cinema. Schumacher borrowed on Burton's success, but made it a lot lighter. Nolan's vision is different still, and everyone will have their preferences. I like them all, even Schumacher's sequel holds some appeal if I'm in the right mood (my niece and nephew are visiting).

It doesn't appear that WB plans on releasing the new films in a set with the originals, but it shouldn't be a stretch if they do at some point. Unlike the 60's Batman film from Fox, Warner has the rights to all 6.

I came on here about to ask about the Blu Ray release of the original Batman trilogy (BATMAN, RETURNS, FOREVER,) and I found this thread. I own the first two on DVD, but wouldn't mind double dipping with the original. I still need to pick up FOREVER, but I figure I will wait until that comes on blu, since it will probably look spectacular.

Is it safe to say these will be out by the time TDK comes out on blu?

I'm sorry but the orginal Batman wasnt that good. It was like one giant prince video. Corny as hell, yeah Nicholsons performance was good, but Ledger's is far more dark and sinister and will surpass Jack's. As for Keaton... Come on he's not that talented of an Actor. I would take Bale's performance in Rescue Dawn, The Machinist over Keaton's in Jack frost.

I know guys like the people on here defending the original. It's hard to let go of their childhood batman movie that was so astonishing and amazing for its time, but watched today is a little less campy than the TV show. Oh and come on the Joker murdering his parents and him dying at the end is just such a reach to tie up ends that shouldve been explored.

In terms of Batman Begins they started off the series the way it shouldve started off. You understand why he went overseas, how he learned to fight and what motivated him to do what he wants to do. Its far more grounded and gives Bruce Wayne more depth and emotion (the scene in the bat cave with the bats flying around him) Oh that reminds me the batcave... Far more realistic that one with computers and tv monitors sticking out of the cave walls and in Begins it also backs up as to why its there. Oh and lets not forget in Batman Returns when he takes his mask off... Tim Burton reached so much implementing his "creative" yes goth art into them.

Anyone who has good taste in movies and can understand how Nolan has made the most Human and down to earth superhero even more so while adding actual realism knows that the "original" batman needs to step back in place of Begins and the upcoming Dark Knight.

I did not have the pleasure of seeing Batman as a child (Was never interested till I saw Begins.) and I recently saw it after The Dark Knight and I will say this. Jack Nicholson was probably good back then but DAMN did Ledger blow him out of the water! Although they both did play different Jokers.
