Default Nad 765

Well, in the process of searching for new speakers (upgrade bug anyone), I learned that I'd definitely need more power for my speakers that I'll be upgrading to. I've listened to an Integra 7.8, NAD 765, Yamaha 1800, and a Sony ES model (don't remember the number). Long story short, the NAD was my favorite, but just curious as to what people think about this brand and what sort of reputation it has, as I haven't really heard much about it. I've done some research online and have found mostly good reviews/thoughts, but wondered if anyone here had some insight with their experience with NAD. TIA

Well, anyone have any insight into this company? Also, I'm considering getting the 765 and then get a 2 channel amp to power my fronts, any recommendations that would go well? I'd like to stay in the $2000 range for a 2 channel, since I could get the NAD 7 channel for 3000, or would the upgrade in a 2 channel amp not be noticeable, since the 765 has quite a bit of power (160w for 2 channels I believe).

NAD is extremely highly regarded for their audio quality. I haven't auditioned that particular model though.... for 2 channel, they'd be on my short-list

NAD is a solid company - I've listened to NAD and its very good. Go with the separate power amp to drive the fronts - you'll love it.
