Default Day of the Dead (2008) Remake Coming to Blu-ray on December 2!

Now I know the movie was not that good, but some people may like it

this is only a "remake" in title only. it is ashamed dawn of the dead was one of the best remakes in a long time.

The Dawn of the Dead remake was a decent movie, but it wasn't nearly gory enough. Unlike Romero's films, Snyder's director's cut version didn't even have any scenes of zombies ripping open a person as they scream helplessly. Without those kind of money shots, it just felt like an action movie with zombies.

Day of the Dead 2008 was pure cheese, only watch it if you like B-movies.

I don't in any way think the Dawn of the Dead remake compares with the original GAR version. But it certainly is a hell of a lot better than this remake of Day of the Dead. What utter, embarrassing trash this movie is.

Yeah I love zombie movies and this one was pretty bad. I will wait for this to hit a bargain price before buying.

Yes, he wouldn't eat people.

I watched this on Netflix download thing, so I didn't have to waste a rental on it and I can watch as many as I want. It was pretty horrible.

It's bad... but not nearly as bad as the Dudelson produced sequel "Day of the Dead: Contagium" (or whatever the sub-title was, there was a debate as to whether they spelled it right... that debate was more interesting than the movie)

THAT was B-A-D.

I LOVE Romero's movies, and I'll be the first to say that Day of the Dead wasn't that great to begin with... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it probably didn't warrant a remake...

I don't understand how anybody could say that. Captain Rhodes being such a badass made it all that much more enjoyable.

I love (well done) zombie movies.
Big fan of the original Night/Dawn/Day, as well as Romero's later works Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead.
I'm also a big fan of the Dawn Of The Dead remake.

For the love of god, stay away from the Day Of The Dead remake. I'm not even sure how they were able to steal that title since there seems to be nothing remotely based off the original. To give you an idea of the quality of this movie, they had a scene with zombies crawling on the ceiling. That's right, zombies can now defy gravity.

Now, I'm not trying to be a thread crapper, since I normally hate that, but I know a lot of zombie genre fans, and every single one of them thought this remake was garbage.

That said, I'm sure there might be some out there who surprisingly enjoy it, and more power to you.
